Python Developer

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Python with Django, Flask, or FastAPI
• Design data models and write efficient queries across PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, and Redis
• Develop data pipelines and ETL workflows with tools such as Airflow, Pandas, Celery, or Spark
• Automate processes, integrations, and internal tools that save the business hours every week
• Deploy to the cloud (AWS, Azure, or GCP) using Docker, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code
• Write clean, well-tested code with pytest and thoughtful code reviews
• Integrate third-party APIs and build reliable, secure, scalable services
• Support analytics and ML teams by productionizing models and data workflows
• Monitor, debug, and optimize performance in production
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and data teams to turn ideas into shipped features

• Developer II - 2-5 years : End-to-end feature delivery, API and data design, code reviews, mentoring newer developers
• Senior Developer - 5+ years : Architecting services, setting technical direction, leading projects, raising engineering standards

What you bring

Must have

• Strong Python fundamentals: data structures, OOP, error handling, and writing Pythonic code
• Experience with at least one framework (Django, Flask, or FastAPI)
• Working knowledge of SQL, relational databases, and REST API design
• Comfort with Git and collaborative workflows
• A habit of testing your work and explaining your decisions clearly
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or a related field, or equivalent experience (bootcamp and self-taught developers welcome). We hire for skill, not pedigree.

Nice to have (not required)

• Experience with Pandas, NumPy, Airflow, Celery, or Kafka
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud services (AWS Lambda, S3, Azure Functions)
• Exposure to machine learning libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) or LLM integrations
• Async programming (asyncio), type hints, and tools like mypy and Poetry
• Secure coding practices (OAuth2, JWT, OWASP)
• GitHub projects, open-source contributions, or Kaggle work you can show off
• Industry experience in [fintech, healthcare, SaaS, e-commerce, etc.]
