Role: Senior Software Engineer (Python)

Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Python contractor to support development, debugging, and issue resolution efforts. This is a hands-on role focused on quickly understanding existing systems, fixing defects, and delivering reliable code improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Write, modify, and maintain Python code for existing applications
- Debug and resolve defects in production and non-production environments
- Quickly analyze issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes is a must
- Support API development and troubleshooting (REST services)
- Work on enhancements, bug fixes, and small feature implementations
- Collaborate with team members to understand requirements and issues
- Review logs, debug failures, and improve system stability
- Work with databases to troubleshoot data-related issues
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Python development (3–7 years)
- Proven experience in debugging and troubleshooting production issues
- Experience with web frameworks (Flask, FastAPI, or Django)
- Strong understanding of APIs and backend services
- Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases
- Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments
- Good understanding of Git and version control
- Ability to quickly ramp up on existing codebases
Nice to Have:
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP)
- Familiarity with logs/monitoring tools
- Experience working in agile / fast-paced environments
- Basic knowledge of Docker or containerized apps
