About The Role Fincons Group is seeking a skilled Python Developer to support a large-scale data conversion initiative. This critical role involves extracting, transforming, validating, and loading data from legacy systems into new target platforms.

The ideal candidate will possess strong Python development skills, demonstrated experience with data migration projects, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both business and technical teams. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and a smooth transition during system upgrades or replacements. You will be involved in designing and implementing automation scripts, troubleshooting data issues, and supporting testing and cutover activities to ensure project success.

Qualifications The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of professional experience in Python development, with a focus on data migration, ETL, or data integration projects. Advanced SQL skills and experience working with relational databases are essential.

Familiarity with handling large datasets, batch processing, and data reconciliation techniques is required. Additional expertise with data formats such as CSV, JSON, XML, and APIs, as well as flat-file integrations, will be highly advantageous. Strong debugging, problem-solving, and communication skills are critical for success in this role.

Preferred qualifications include experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP; familiarity with frameworks like Pandas, NumPy, or PySpark; and knowledge of enterprise systems like SAP, Oracle, or Salesforce. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and version control tools like Git is also desirable.

Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain Python scripts for data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading processes to support migration activities.

Analyze source system data structures and map data to meet target system requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

Build automated validation and reconciliation processes to verify data integrity throughout the migration lifecycle.

Troubleshoot data quality issues, exceptions, and conversion errors, providing timely resolutions to minimize project delays.

Optimize batch processing jobs for performance, scalability, and reliability, ensuring efficient handling of large datasets.

Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and stakeholders to validate data conversions and ensure alignment with business needs.

Support mock data conversions, testing cycles, and final production cutover activities, providing technical expertise and documentation.

Create comprehensive technical documentation detailing conversion logic, data mapping rules, and support procedures.

Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, providing regular updates on progress, challenges, and risks to project teams and management.
