Job Summary
We are seeking a hands-on
Python Developer with strong financial services experience to build API integrations, ETL solutions, and data-processing pipelines for investment management and reporting platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong Python development skills, experience with REST APIs and databases, and preferably hands-on experience with
Allvue.
Key Responsibilities
- Integrate APIs with internal portfolio management systems using Python for investment reporting and analytics.
- Develop REST API endpoints using Django, FastAPI, or Zope REST Framework.
- Build robust ETL APIs to automate data extraction, transformation, and transfer between database sources and the Allvue platform.
- Develop Python-based document extraction pipelines for investor statements, capital calls, PDFs, and Excel documents.
- Convert unstructured financial documents into validated JSON data.
- Develop Python scripts to parse and load XML/JSON data from APIs.
- Design and implement MySQL databases and complex SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and analysis.
- Troubleshoot API and data integration issues and improve data accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define API requirements and resolve integration challenges.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on Python development experience.
- Experience developing and integrating REST APIs.
- Experience with Django, FastAPI, or Zope REST Framework.
- Strong knowledge of ETL and data integration.
- Experience with JSON and XML.
- Strong MySQL/SQL skills.
- Experience processing PDF and Excel documents.
- Financial services / investment management experience is a MUST.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Preferred Skills
- Allvue experience is a huge bonus.
- Portfolio management system experience.
- Investment reporting and analytics experience.
- Experience working with investor statements and capital call documents.
