Must Haves

7 - 10 years of hands on python development

2-3 years of cloud experience (ideally GCP cloud) open to AWS or Azure and training them on GCP

4 to 6 years CI/CD - (Jenkins/ArgoCD)

1 to 2 years of Docker experience

2 to 4 years- Unit testing

2 to 4 years -Power BI/Tableau - Designing and deployment -

2 to 4 years of experience with SQL

Plusses

Day to day

This role will be 100% hands on coding role and they will be working on the developer experience projects, basically working on tools to build software to support the developer experience to make them more productive and improve their experience. This is an urgent need as his current developers were pulled to another team to work on a project.

Both Power BI and Tableau are used.

Prefers Power BI but is open to candidates with Tableau experience.

The backend data querying is the most important aspect.

Java is a plus, but not required.

AI/ML experience

Not a primary requirement.

"We are consuming large language models by giving input and taking the output and rendering in the screen. As simple as that."

No need to add keywords for the sake of it.

Deployment to production

Homegrown solution is used.

Intuitive and simple to use.

Training can be done in a day or even a few hours.

GitHub Actions can be added.

Testing

Unit tests can be generated by tools like Cursor or Cloud.

No need to look for testing experience.

Other

Jira experience is assumed.

Python developers on another team use Cursor AI to test their code.

Typical day-to-day involves rebuilding dashboards.

DORA Metrics

Measuring DORA metrics requires pulling data from various sources and building dashboards.

Analysis is needed to understand gaps in development, such as why one team takes 40 days to develop a feature while another takes only 10 days.

"We need to analysis what is wrong with this team, why they are taking 40 days versus 10 days."

Informed decisions based on this analysis need to be made for leadership.

Team Composition

The team will consist of four engineers, one project manager, and one engineering manager.

The team will consist of a senior engineer, a new hire, and two out of four new hires.
