Experience Needed
- Python development experience
- Experience with automation, data analysis, scripting, or internal tool development
- SQL, reporting, APIs, dashboards, or data integration experience preferred
- Manufacturing, industrial, production, ERP, MES, or plant-floor experience preferred but not required
- AI tools, machine learning, forecasting, predictive analytics, or AI API exposure is a plus
- Ability to work onsite and collaborate with operations, production, and IT teams
We are seeking a Python Developer to support the development, deployment, and maintenance of Python-based and AI-enabled tools that improve manufacturing operations.
This person will help build automation tools and applications that support production scheduling, machine efficiency tracking, downtime analysis, forecasting, reporting, and operational decision-making. The role will work closely with supervisors, technicians, planners, leadership, and IT to better understand operational challenges and turn those needs into practical technology solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve Python applications that support scheduling, production tracking, downtime analysis, reporting, and forecasting
- Build automation tools and AI-enabled utilities that reduce manual work and improve visibility across operations
- Analyze data from production reports, equipment, downtime logs, and other operational systems to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Create tools that help teams better understand machine uptime, production bottlenecks, and workflow efficiency
- Work with operations and IT teams to ensure tools are reliable, secure, and aligned with business needs
- Assist with documenting technology needs, process improvements, and future automation opportunities
- Monitor and improve existing automation or AI-enabled tools to ensure accuracy, reliability, and usefulness over time
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience developing with Python
- Experience with data analysis, automation, scripting, internal tools, or application development
- Ability to communicate well with both technical and non-technical users
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to turn operational challenges into practical solutions
- Manufacturing or industrial experience is preferred, but not required
- Exposure to AI tools, machine learning, predictive analytics, forecasting, or AI APIs is a plusration
