Introduction

Join our dynamic team as we embark on the Mercury Plus adjustment automation initiative. This is a short-term engagement tied to EVP-level funding with a hard budget stop at the end of February/into March. You'll be part of a team automating finance/capital adjustments currently handled manually, building on existing system infrastructure.

Required Skills & Qualifications

3 years hands-on Python development with a bachelor's degree, or 1–2 years with an advanced degree
Production-grade coding (not scripting), Git, Pandas, unit testing
Strong communication skills for direct interaction with finance/capital business users
Ability to work directly for Artech on W2
Prior work experience at client or in client's industry

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

Financial/accounting background (income statement adjustments, category movements)
Java exposure (helps with design pattern understanding)
Graduate degree in Computer Science or Mathematics
Experience with Snowflake, Shell scripting/Unix, JIRA/Atlassian suite, AWS/cloud

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

Participate in the automation of finance/capital adjustments
Collaborate with team members to build on existing system infrastructure
Communicate effectively with business users to explain and justify code review/QC comments
Engage in some analyst-type responsibilities due to the absence of a dedicated business analyst team
