The role involves designing and developing systems for financial modeling and research, as well as supporting software solutions for monitoring market and credit risks.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop and support systems within the financial modeling and research area
- Design and develop new code and review existing code changes to ensure standard technology development practices are met
- Assist in the operational execution of software solutions to assist with the monitoring and control of market and credit risks
- Assist with application development and modifying and/or maintaining applications; Demonstrate knowledge of development tools and languages
- Assist other areas of financial research and engineering when defining requirements for systems applications. Other duties as assigned
Skills
- Must have practical experience with Python, Front end technologies, React, JavaScript, and web application development, along with the capability to write effective code. Ideal candidates should have 3-7 years of relevant experience
- Master's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field and 2 years of experience developing analytics software applications, OR
- Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related technical field and five years of experience developing analytics software applications
- Demonstrated knowledge of quantitative finance
- Demonstrated knowledge of Python
- Demonstrated knowledge of Python web technologies, e.g. Flask, Dash
- Demonstrated knowledge of Python data processing technologies, e.g. Pandas, Numpy
- Solid understanding on web applications, e.g. HTML, CSS, javascript
- Solid understanding on DB and SQL
- Linux/Unix OS
- Javascript framework: jquery, datatable, react
- Front-end design, CSS, tailwind
- Cloud technology, Google Kubeflow, AWS
- Mortgage or GSE experience
- R, Java, C, C++, SAS
