We are seeking a highly experienced Python Lead Developer to join a fast-paced enterprise environment supporting strategic initiatives for a leading financial client .
This role requires strong technical leadership, hands-on development expertise, and the ability to guide cross-functional engineering teams.
Lead design and development of scalable Python-based applications
Drive architecture decisions and enforce coding best practices
Collaborate with stakeholders, product teams, and offshore/onshore developers
Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers
Ensure high performance, security, and reliability of applications
Participate in production support and continuous improvement initiatives
10+ years of software development experience
7+ years of strong hands-on Python development
Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, and microservices architecture
Experience with REST APIs and backend frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django)
Strong SQL skills and database experience (Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar)
Experience working in enterprise financial environments preferred
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
Prior experience working with JPMC or large banking clients
