Our client seeks a Ruby Developer with 2+ years of experience developing Web applications. Job requires strong client contact and communication skills. This engineer will be responsible for helping to gather technical requirements from both business and technical users, implement custom solutions where necessary, help educate customers, and work to transform custom solutions into core components where possible.
Must be comfortable driving technical requirements sessions and working with business stakeholders. Development Work will be done in Ruby on Rails and Wordpress.
Experience building high-scale consumer-facing web applications including demonstrated excellence in Ruby on Rails development experience and deep knowledge of database technologies.
Strong understanding of XML/JSON based RESTful/SOAP APIs.
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, and a desire to want to learn more and share knowledge with others
Ability to plan and manage in a rapidly changing environment
CSS & HTML proficiency a plus
Java, JSP, JavaEE a plus.
Understanding of cross-site scripting (XSS) and other client-side vulnerabilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Bachelor's degree in computer science/ related subject matter or equivalent work experience
