Senior API/Java/Python Developer

Salary: $170,000 - 210,000 per year Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph are required; employment is contingent on verification of clearance status.
• A bachelors degree and at least five years of experience.
• Proficiency in Java and/or Python and related frameworks such as Spring Boot, Flask, or Django.
• Strong knowledge of API architectures, including REST, GraphQL, or SOAP, and API development tools such as Postman or Swagger UI.
• Familiarity with SQL and/or NoSQL databases and version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP, and familiarity with containerization tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Some roles may be subject to U.S. export control laws requiring U.S. person status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable applications and APIs in Java and Python, writing clear, efficient, well-documented code.
• Build RESTful APIs and microservices, support secure communication between systems, and integrate third-party APIs and services.
• Use SQL and NoSQL databases, such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or MySQL, to store and retrieve data.
• Work with frontend developers, product managers, and QA teams to define requirements, integrate components, and ensure functionality.
• Improve code and system performance, troubleshoot problems, and follow security best practices for data handling and API authentication.
• Where applicable, integrate cloud services and APIs, including AWS or Azure, for cloud-native solutions and deployments.
• Maintain, support, and enhance existing applications and APIs.
