Senior Application Developer - Java/AWS

Requirements

Must have:

- Proven hands-on experience in enterprise software engineering, particularly in senior or lead development roles.

• Expertise in constructing API services, microservices, and event-driven cloud solutions.
• Extensive familiarity with Amazon Web Services, focusing on Lambda, DynamoDB, EventBridge, CloudWatch, and SNS/SQS.
• Preferred experience with Node.js for developing services.
• Strong grasp of resilience engineering concepts, such as retries, idempotency, timeout management, observability, and recovery design.
• Good understanding of secure software practices including authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, and data protection.
• Prior experience in payments, wire processing, or financial services systems is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted software delivery is advantageous.

Responsibilities:

- Direct the hands-on design and development of payment API services.

• Create secure, scalable, and resilient event-driven solutions utilizing Amazon Web Services tools like Lambda and DynamoDB.
• Engineer and review strategies for error handling, retries, idempotency, timeout procedures, monitoring, logging, and operational readiness.
• Develop cloud-native services employing Node.js and appropriate serverless architectures.
• Collaborate with teams in product management, business analysis, quality engineering, architecture, and support to produce robust, production-ready solutions.
• Promote the use of generative AI to enhance engineering productivity, documentation, design assistance, and testing expediency.
