Senior Application Developer (Java/C#)

Requirements

Must have:

- 6+ years of professional software development experience, along with a relevant post-secondary degree or equivalent background.

• Proven experience delivering production-grade systems within intricate enterprise environments.
• Strong communication capabilities to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Practical experience utilizing AI-supported coding or developer productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot or GitHub Copilot in daily development tasks.
• Ability to critically assess and refine AI-generated code, designs, and technical suggestions for compliance with standards.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the design, development, and ongoing maintenance of intricate applications or services, ensuring technical quality, resilience, and efficiency.

• Spearhead comprehensive technical design, converting business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
• Construct and develop applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot within a microservices and cloud-native framework.
• Facilitate and support application integrations employing APIs, MQ, Kafka, and SFTP (RESTful services, JSON, XML).
• Create and enhance data solutions using Oracle SQL.
• Employ AI tools to analyze extensive or complex codebases, recognizing technical debt, and evaluating cross-system impacts during transformation initiatives.
• Utilize AI to expedite solution design exploration and improve evaluation processes, prototyping, and testing strategies.
• Leverage AI during the investigation of complex production issues, incident triage, and root cause analysis to minimize resolution time and enhance system reliability.
• Diagnose and resolve intricate system challenges, leading root cause analyses and instituting long-lasting solutions.
• Establish and maintain engineering standards for coding quality, testing (SIT/UAT), security, performance, and best practices in the software development lifecycle.
