Requirements
Must have:
- We are looking for a developer with 7-10+ years of professional software development experience and a hands-on delivery mindset.
- We need deep expertise in Java, Spring and Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices, and full-stack web application development.
- We expect front-end experience with Angular and/or React; React Native experience is preferred.
- We require strong SQL skills and practical experience with relational databases.
- We look for experience working with Tomcat and Docker.
- We need healthcare interoperability experience, especially with HL7 and FHIR data exchange.
- We value integration experience with Mirth Connect and healthcare data transformation workflows.
- We prefer candidates with experience integrating insurance, financial, laboratory, and clinical systems, with Quest and Labcorp interface knowledge a plus.
- Experience with medical device integrations, ASTM protocols, and device communication standards is a plus.
- We expect strong troubleshooting ability and independence when resolving production issues.
- We need clear communication skills for collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a remote setting.
- We look for understanding of the SDLC, unit testing, documentation, and close partnership with QA.
- Cloud exposure is beneficial, although DevOps and cloud responsibilities are handled by dedicated teams.
Responsibilities:
- We design, build, test, and deploy Java and Spring Boot services, REST APIs, and microservices.
- We create and improve web and mobile user interfaces using Angular and/or React, with React Native preferred.
- We implement healthcare integration workflows for data exchange using HL7 and FHIR.
- We develop and support interfaces with tools such as Mirth Connect.
- We write and tune SQL queries and relational database schemas.
- We containerize and run applications with Docker and Tomcat where needed.
- We own features from requirements gathering through production support and issue resolution.
- We work closely with clinical teams, QA, and cross-functional partners to define needs and validate solutions.
- We document designs, APIs, and operational procedures in line with best practices.
- We participate in sprint ceremonies and track work using Jira or similar tools.
