Senior Java Backend Engineer

The Role

• Be the internal Backend architecture expert, driving standards.
• Improve the quality of internal software by reshaping legacy areas.
• Own reliability and performance by identifying bugs & issues and improving the user experience.
• Mentor junior engineers, leading by example and sharing best practice.
• Collaborate with product and design teams to ensure clear requirements and successful execution.
• Be a great communicator and collaborator, working with team members across multiple time zones.

What You'll Need

• Bachelor's Degree.
• Minimum of 5 years, ideally 7-10+ years of Java development and backend engineering experience.
• Expertise in Java and experience with at least one additional backend and frontend language.
• Experience improving legacy codebases.
• Automated testing experience and microservices architecture knowledge.
• Experience with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
• Excellent communication skills, essential for a collaborative, remote environment.
