Senior Java Developer - AWS & PostgreSQL

Requirements

Must have:

- Experience in software engineering - Proficient in Java 8+, web application frameworks like Spring Boot, and RESTful API creation - Knowledge of AWS toolsets, such as SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, S3, Kinesis, and CloudFormation - Proven track record in designing, developing, and documenting customer-facing RESTful APIs - Ability to interpret high-level business requirements and ask clarifying questions - Willingness to pursue self-directed continuous learning with support from engineering leaders - Capable of managing ones time efficiently and prioritizing tasks effectively - Expertise in the full development lifecycle, from analysis to production implementation - Strong familiarity with CI/CD practices and collaborative DevOps models, with experience in tools like Maven, Gradle, Jenkins, Argo CD, Terraform, Splunk, Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana - Experience in developing and deploying applications in a containerized environment using Docker and Kubernetes - Bonus: Familiarity with GenAI/CoPilot or similar technologies

Responsibilities:

- Work on software development projects focusing on Java, AWS, and PostgreSQL/NoSQL technologies - Design and implement high-quality RESTful APIs for customer use - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project delivery - Manage your own workloads and set priorities to meet deadlines - Engage in continuous learning and skill enhancement with guidance from peers - Participate in DevOps practices to streamline development and deployment processes - Document processes and maintain code standards to ensure quality and performance
