Senior Java Developer

Requirements

Must have:

- Over 5 years of experience developing web-based applications with Java/J2EE technologies. - Strong expertise in Core Java, including multi-threading and Executor framework. - In-depth proficiency with Spring, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and MyBatis. - Experience in building and integrating RESTful web services. - Front-end skills in JavaScript, JSP, CSS, HTML, Angular, and contemporary JS libraries such as jQuery. - Familiarity with AJAX, XML/XSLT, and JSON. - Knowledge of application servers including JBoss, Apache, and Tomcat. - Strong SQL abilities, encompassing database design, stored procedures, and performance optimization. - Experience using GitHub Copilot in Agent mode for Java development assistance. - Capability to create solutions compatible across browsers and platforms. - Comprehensive understanding of web application security best practices. - Preferred: Experience in developing property and casualty insurance applications. - Preferred: Knowledge of non-functional requirements, such as performance tuning and scalability strategies. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.

Responsibilities:

- Work closely with Business Analysts to convert business needs into technical designs. - Develop, test, and uphold high-quality source code throughout the entire stack. - Design and execute unit tests while supporting functional and system integration testing. - Engage in deployment tasks and provide production support as necessary. - Design and implement application components to ensure seamless integration. - Ensure that solutions meet standards for performance, scalability, maintainability, and security.
