Senior Java Software Engineer

Job Description

Join our dynamic team as a Senior Java Developer and contribute to the design, development, and testing of enterprise-grade software in an Agile environment. You will be instrumental in shaping our software architecture and ensuring the delivery of high-quality applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test enterprise-grade software using Java, Spring Boot, and other related technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Spring Boot and ensure seamless integration with front-end technologies.
• Work with relational and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL to manage data effectively.
• Implement modern UI patterns using Angular and other front-end technologies to create engaging user experiences.
• Utilize modern build, CI/CD, and containerization tools like Git, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, and Kubernetes to streamline development and deployment processes.
• Write unit tests using JUnit and Mockito, and front-end unit tests using Jasmine to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Leverage GenAI-enabled development tools such as GitHub Copilot, LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows to enhance productivity and innovation.
• Deploy applications in the cloud using AWS and manage container orchestration with Kubernetes, Istio, and Helm charts.
• Communicate effectively with business lines and other IT teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.

Requirements

Required Skills

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in software development in an Agile environment.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and designing RESTful APIs.
• Solid experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and PostgreSQL.
• Front-end development experience with Angular and modern UI patterns.
• Hands-on experience with modern build, CI/CD, and containerization tools including Git, Gradle, Docker, Jenkins, and Kubernetes.
• Strong testing mindset, with experience writing unit tests using JUnit and Mockito, and front-end unit tests using Jasmine.
• Working knowledge and practical experience with GenAI-enabled development tools such as GitHub Copilot, LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows.
• Knowledge and experience in cloud computing with AWS and container orchestration using Kubernetes, Istio, and Helm charts.
• Excellent communication skills to interface and influence with business lines and other IT teams.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks such as Cucumber, Jest, Cypress, and Playwright.
• Experience with automated pipeline deployment tools such as Rancher.
• Knowledge of modern tools including Atlassian Suite (Jira, Bitbucket), Git, IntelliJ, VSCode, and Gradle.
• Nice to have: Python, Rafay, and SonarQube.
