Requirements
Must have:
- 5-8 years of solid experience in Java, Core Java, and Java 8, with a strong understanding of OOP principles - Hands-on expertise with Apache Spark, including Spark Core and Spark SQL - Significant experience in distributed data processing and the big data ecosystem - Proficient in SQL and managing large datasets - Familiarity with HDFS, Hive, and Kafka - Experience in developing REST APIs and backend services - Comfort with Linux/Unix environments - Knowledge of version control systems such as Git - Required: Karat Assessment Certification
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and sustain scalable Java applications and Spark data processing pipelines - Create and enhance batch and streaming data solutions using Apache Spark - Develop backend services utilizing Core Java and related frameworks - Manage large datasets, ensuring high performance, fault tolerance, and scalability - Integrate Spark jobs with HDFS, Hive, Kafka, and both relational and NoSQL databases - Enhance Spark jobs for optimal performance, memory, and computational efficiency - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineers, QA, DevOps, and Product Owners - Adhere to coding standards, best practices, and secure development protocols - Address production issues and conduct root cause analysis - Take part in code reviews, design discussions, and Agile ceremonies
