Senior/Lead Java Developer

Requirements

Must have:

- We are looking for 8+ years of hands-on experience building mission-critical, large-scale, high-volume enterprise and distributed applications with Java/J2EE.

• We need strong object-oriented design and Java programming expertise, including experience with one or more J2EE application servers.
• We require experience developing RESTful services with Spring Framework and Spring Boot, along with SOAP web services.
• We need experience working with Apache Kafka for streaming data production and consumption.
• We require experience writing JUnit tests, performing performance testing, optimization, and code analysis.
• We need proficiency with Oracle SQL/PLSQL and Cassandra, with PostgreSQL or MySQL experience considered an advantage.
• We require strong hands-on experience with Eclipse or IntelliJ, Maven, Git, Bitbucket, CI/CD pipelines, Splunk, and SOAP UI.
• We need a background in high-volume, scalable, highly available distributed systems.
• We expect knowledge of standard design patterns, including creational, behavioral, and JEE patterns.
• We need experience coordinating cross-functional, distributed development teams across regions.
• We require experience working in Agile and SDLC environments, including test-driven development.
• We need the ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt quickly to changing release demands.
• We require experience troubleshooting performance issues such as memory leaks, high CPU usage, and thread contention.
• We need experience supporting high-traffic, Tier 0 applications.
• We require solid Linux skills, including command-line debugging, log analysis, file handling, monitoring, filesystem and permissions knowledge, process management, and networking.
• We need experience developing and deploying Java applications in Linux environments.
• We require experience writing and maintaining Bash scripts for automation and operations.
• We need experience integrating with relational and NoSQL databases, including Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Cassandra.
• We require experience optimizing SQL and managing data access layers with JPA/Hibernate.
• We need experience working with messaging technologies such as Kafka, ActiveMQ, or RabbitMQ.
• We require experience handling file-based integrations in CSV, XML, and JSON formats, as well as batch processing.
• We need experience using Maven or Gradle for build and dependency management.
• We require experience packaging and deploying applications on Linux servers or containers.
• We need experience collaborating with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
• We prefer experience supporting containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• We value knowledge of security best practices for cloud or distributed applications.
• We prefer familiarity with OAuth, JWT, and related authentication and authorization mechanisms.

Responsibilities:

- We will ask you to create prototypes that validate and prove design approaches.

• We will have you prepare UML diagrams that document current and future-state architecture.
• You will develop, enhance, test, support, maintain, and debug software applications for business and support functions.
• You will serve as a senior technical contributor partnering with business leaders and management.
• You will provide strategic technical direction and system architecture guidance as needed.
• You will recommend technical innovations based on technology alternatives and business requirements.
• You will estimate development effort and lead work for one or more programmers.
• You will coordinate with external programming teams to deliver work on time and within budget.
• You will provide feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues critical to business objectives.
• You will collaborate with business and architecture teams to implement solutions that protect and scale critical banking applications.
• You will contribute across the full SDLC, including analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment for each release and project.
