Requirements
Must have:
- Strong proficiency in Python or a comparable programming language - Solid understanding of grid, distributed, parallel, or high-performance computing concepts - Experience with FICC or equities products, including pricing, risk, and P&L domains - Background in agile development, testing, deployment, and production support - Proven record of delivering high-priority work in a fast-paced, high-performing team - Ability to solve business challenges and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders - Preferred: experience with platforms similar to Quartz - Preferred: leadership experience on risk calculation initiatives - Preferred: ability to mentor junior developers and collaborate across technology teams
Responsibilities:
- Help refine user stories and define requirements - Estimate effort across the delivery lifecycle and advise the team on scope and implementation approach - Conduct spikes and proof-of-concepts to reduce risk and assess new ideas - Write clean, well-tested Python code that meets acceptance and compliance standards - Design and build solutions across data, application, and business layers using multiple architectural components - Troubleshoot technical issues and remove blockers to keep story delivery on track - Develop, enhance, and adjust architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while preserving architectural integrity - Build and support automated test suites for integration, regression, and performance testing - Establish, improve, and automate CI/CD pipelines and release activities - Mentor software engineers and coach the team on CI/CD practices and toolchain automation
