We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Senior/Principal Python Developer to join our core engineering team. With 12+ years of software development experience, you will act as a technical pillar for the organization. You will be responsible for designing complex system architectures, writing highly scalable and efficient Python code, and mentoring a team of talented engineers.
This role goes beyond coding; we are looking for a thought leader who can drive technical strategy, optimize our backend infrastructure, and ensure the successful delivery of enterprise-grade software solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architecture & System Design:
Architect, design, and build robust, scalable, and highly available backend systems and microservices using Python.
- Advanced Development:
Write clean, maintainable, and highly efficient code for complex server-side logic and API integrations.
- Technical Leadership:
Act as a subject matter expert. Drive architectural decisions, evaluate new technologies, and establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and design patterns.
- Performance Optimization:
Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise elegant solutions to mitigate these issues. Optimize application performance for high-traffic environments.
- Cloud & Infrastructure:
Partner with DevOps to deploy and scale applications in [AWS / GCP / Azure], leveraging containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Mentorship:
Mentor mid-level and junior developers, conduct rigorous code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Frontend Engineers to define project requirements, deliverables, and timelines within an Agile/Scrum framework.
Required Qualifications
- Experience:
12+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a minimum of 7+ years heavily focused on Python development in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Expertise in Python:
Deep, expert-level understanding of Python and its advanced features (generators, decorators, metaclasses, async programming).
- Web Frameworks:
Extensive hands-on experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
- Database Mastery:
Advanced proficiency with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Redis, Cassandra). Strong understanding of database design, ORMs, and query optimization.
- Cloud Platforms:
Extensive experience deploying and managing applications on AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.
- Architecture:
Proven track record of designing and implementing microservices architectures and RESTful APIs.
- DevOps & Tooling:
Strong experience with Git, Docker, Kubernetes, and setting up CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Leadership:
Demonstrated experience leading technical projects from conception to deployment, and mentoring engineering teams
