Must have:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Science, Computer Science, or a related field demonstrating equivalent software development competencies. - A minimum of 7 years in a combination of designing, developing, and deploying real-time acoustic signal processing algorithms, parallel processing implementations, and service-oriented architectures (SOA). - At least 5 years of hands-on development and integration experience with sonar and/or Navy Command and Control (C2) systems. - Proficiency in Java and C++ is essential for this role. - Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance. - Possession of IAT Level I certification or willingness to secure one within 30 days of employment.
Responsibilities:
- Mentor and guide a decentralized team of over 15 developers, implementing agile methodologies within a larger program of more than 50 members. - Collaborate in an agile workspace to design, build, and deliver complex mission system software. - Take ownership and deliver solutions utilizing Java, C++, and various contemporary technologies. - Investigate and integrate new frameworks and languages like Angular, Rust, or Scala to address mission requirements. - Tackle and resolve intricate technical challenges with ingenuity and efficiency. - Make informed decisions even when facing limited information in fast-paced settings. - Identify when to adjust or pivot during execution to achieve optimal technical and mission results. - Propel process enhancements and introduce innovative workflows to boost team performance. - Drive constructive change through collaboration, initiative, and technical guidance. - Manage multiple responsibilities and swiftly adapt to urgent or changing needs. - Communicate effectively across teams, stakeholders, and leadership. - Apply agile best practices to ensure high-quality and impactful iterative outcomes. - Occasionally travel to Manassas, VA for integration tasks and direct team cooperation.
