Requirements
Must have:
- We require a degree or equivalent experience, along with typically 7+ years of relevant professional background.
- We look for 5-7+ years of software development experience, or equivalent hands-on expertise.
- We need strong, 5+ year proficiency in modern backend and/or full-stack development using TypeScript and JavaScript.
- We value 5+ years of practical experience with several of these technologies: Node.js, React, GraphQL, and event-driven architectures such as Kafka.
- We require production experience with Azure, or comparable cloud-platform experience with a willingness to learn quickly.
- We expect experience designing and integrating APIs across distributed environments.
- We need a solid foundation in software engineering practices, including testing, version control, CI/CD, and observability.
- We seek someone who can work independently while collaborating effectively within a team.
- We prefer candidates with experience in FHIR data models, healthcare integrations, or EHR-adjacent systems; Aidbox experience is a plus.
- We prefer familiarity with containerization and cloud-native deployment approaches.
- We prefer experience contributing to systems at scale or supporting mission-critical workflows.
- We value interest in DORA metrics and continuous improvement of delivery and deployment practices.
Responsibilities:
- We design, build, test, and release features and services that support Specialty Access and Affordability products, including our FHIR-based data platform.
- We own complex work end-to-end, from initial requirements through implementation, validation, and production readiness.
- We write clean, maintainable, well-tested code and help define the engineering standards we follow.
- We partner with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to turn business needs into practical technical solutions while identifying risks, dependencies, and tradeoffs.
- We contribute to architecture discussions, code reviews, and sprint ceremonies by offering thoughtful feedback and ideas.
- We share knowledge through code reviews, pairing, and informal mentorship.
- We improve code quality, system performance, observability, and operational stability, while helping reduce deployment friction across our pipelines.
- We participate in on-call or support rotations to help ensure reliability of our systems.
