Senior Software Engineer - Java and Python

Requirements

Must have:

- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software engineering with a Bachelors degree or 3 years with a Masters degree - Proven leadership skills and the ability to define effective solutions - Commitment to ongoing education and mentorship in the field - Strong knowledge in software development practices

Responsibilities:

- Design and implement scalable, event-driven ingestion services utilizing C# and modern .NET - Architect and enhance frameworks to accommodate various data sources and file formats - Establish data normalization and validation patterns for consistency across systems - Create efficient data modeling and storage strategies across multiple platforms - Define data contracts with versioning for backward compatibility - Build and manage high-throughput ingestion pipelines within Microsoft Azure - Implement resilient workflows that mitigate issues like connectivity loss and data duplication - Develop CI/CD pipelines in GitLab for ingestion services - Design reprocessing strategies for historical data handling - Ensure ingestion pipelines maintain performance during high-volume data influx - Set up observability with metrics and logging tools to monitor data quality - Participate in production support and address data integrity issues - Write maintainable code and guide engineers on cloud-native patterns - Lead technical initiatives that enhance ingestion performance and resilience - Contribute to architectural standards around data processing and schema evolution
