Requirements
Must have:
- Bachelors Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of relevant experience, or a Masters Degree and 3 years of pertinent experience, or 1 year of experience with a PhD for Level 3 - Bachelors Degree in a STEM discipline preferred from an accredited university and 8 years of relevant experience, or a Masters Degree and 6 years of related experience, or 4 years of experience with a PhD for Level 4 - Recent experience in software development using C++, Java, or Ada - Willingness to gain proficiency in Ada software development - Strong communication abilities - Critical thinking skills to effectively capture ideas in work products and discussions - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in teams - Capability to function in an in-person/closed-area work environment - Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time - Must possess a current, active, in-scope DoD-issued Secret security clearance at the time of application
Responsibilities:
- Support the Ground Weapons System (GWS) program as an individual contributor on the Ground Fire Control (GFC) product - Understand, implement, and test existing and new capabilities and algorithms that rely on complex mathematics and physics-based solutions for GWS capabilities - Collaborate with the GFC team in writing software for the missile defense system, which currently includes 1.5 million lines of code - Adapt to a fast-paced work environment with diverse tasks and collaborate with team members of varying experience levels
