Job Summary:

We are seeking a Quality Engineering (QE) Engineer to support the migration of 12 existing applications from IBM WebSphere 8.5.5 to Tomcat on Kubernetes. This is primarily a lift-and-shift modernization initiative where business functionality, SOAP interfaces, SAML authorization, and consumer integrations remain unchanged. The QE engineer will focus on validating migration accuracy, regression testing, API/service verification, and ensuring zero functional impact during platform migration.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute comprehensive regression test suites for migrated applications.

Validate WebSphere-to-Tomcat migration outcomes and ensure functional parity.

Validate SOAP services, WSDLs, and existing integration contracts.

Perform API testing using Postman and REST Assured.

Conduct UI and backend validation across migrated applications.

Validate JMS messaging, JDBC connection pools, and integration points.

Perform SAML authentication and authorization testing.

Create and maintain automated tests using Playwright and Cucumber.

Execute database validation and data reconciliation activities.

Support SIT, UAT, and production deployment validation.

Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines.

Produce test documentation, RTMs, defect reports, and migration validation reports.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range Minimum: $95,000 per year

Pay Range Maximum: $151,000 per year

Compensation and Benefits

A candidate’s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies.
