Requirements

Must have:

- Were looking for software or computer engineers at entry, mid, or senior level with project management experience.
  • For entry-level consideration, we expect an associates or bachelors degree in engineering or computer science, along with around 2 years of software development experience.
  • Entry-level candidates should be comfortable working in a team environment with other engineers, and were willing to train the right person.
  • For mid-level consideration, we expect a bachelors or graduate degree in engineering or computer science.
  • Mid-level candidates should bring 5+ years of experience developing, testing, and debugging software, including at least 3 years with LabVIEW and current knowledge of the latest LabVIEW version.
  • Experience with NI TestStand and/or NI VeriStand is an advantage.
  • A solid grasp of instrumentation, data acquisition, signal conditioning, and sensors is important.
  • We look for familiarity with communication protocols such as RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, GPIB, USB, MODBUS, LXI, or TCP/IP.
  • Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a self-starting mindset are essential.
  • We expect a proven software development track record with a strong portfolio of completed projects at mid to senior level.
  • Basic database knowledge with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL Server is required for mid-level roles.
  • For senior-level consideration, we expect 15+ years of experience developing, testing, and debugging software, including at least 10 years using LabVIEW and current knowledge of the latest LabVIEW version.
  • Senior candidates should have advanced understanding of instrumentation, data acquisition, signal conditioning, and sensors.
  • Senior applicants need strong knowledge of communication protocols such as RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet, GPIB, USB, MODBUS, LXI, or TCP/IP.
  • Senior-level candidates must have strong database skills with PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MS SQL Server, including optimized queries and effective schema management.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and clear technical communication are required at the senior level.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to customer requirements.
  • Additional strengths include hands-on experience with Python, C#, ActiveX, SQL, and other programming languages.
  • Extra value is given to knowledge of I2C, SPI, CAN, LIN, ARINC-429, or ARINC-825 protocols.
  • LabVIEW certification, NI TestStand experience, and NI VeriStand experience are all considered pluses.

Responsibilities:

- We develop applications that support our measurement and control hardware.
  • We work directly with clients to define, refine, and finalize project specifications.
  • We manage engineering projects from a technical and coordination standpoint.
