Requirements
Must have:
- We require an active U.S. Government SECRET security clearance.
- We require a bachelors degree in engineering or a related technical field plus 7 or more years of relevant experience, or a masters degree plus 4 or more years of relevant experience.
- We need strong software development experience with Java, C++, and Python in Linux-based environments.
- We require experience building RESTful APIs, secure data exchange solutions such as JSON and XML, and service-oriented architectures.
- We look for familiarity with build tools such as Maven, Gradle, and CMake, as well as version control platforms such as Git and GitHub.
- We require proficiency in backend testing approaches and tools such as JUnit, PyTest, and Google Test.
- We look for experience supporting Agile delivery, including sprint coordination and team collaboration; Scrum Master certification is not required.
- We value technical leadership experience, including helping guide priorities, supporting decisions, and mentoring teammates.
- We require strong debugging capability with tools such as GDB, Valgrind, or performance profilers.
- We expect effective communication and collaboration skills in Agile teams.
- We require proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Responsibilities:
- We design, develop, test, and deploy backend services, APIs, and system components using Java, C++, and Python.
- We work closely with frontend developers, systems engineers, DevSecOps teams, and testers to support strong integration and delivery.
- We build software that interfaces with satellite ground systems, network management interfaces, and secure communications protocols.
- We improve performance and reliability through clean code, profiling, and debugging.
- We support secure coding practices and help ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity requirements.
- We participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily scrums, and retrospectives.
- We conduct peer code reviews and contribute to architecture decisions focused on scalability, maintainability, and performance.
