Requirements
Must have:
- Proficiency in a modern IDE such as Visual Studio Code - Experience with source code management tools like GitHub or Azure DevOps, focusing on branching strategies, pull requests, and merge workflows - Familiarity with AI coding assistants like GitHub Copilot or Claude UI/CLI, including the capability to develop custom prompts - Strong eagerness to learn and develop within the application security domain - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities - Preferred: Experience with Azure DevOps and/or GitHub Enterprise, including boards, repositories, and pipelines - Preferred: Exposure to DevSecOps methodologies and secure coding concepts like OWASP Top 10 and input validation - Preferred: Background or coursework in cybersecurity or information security - Preferred: Understanding of application security topics such as SAST, DAST, and vulnerability management - Preferred: Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK and ISO 27001 - Preferred: ISC2 certification (CC, SSCP, CISSP) is a plus - Preferred: Active engagement in the cybersecurity community through activities like CTFs, meetups, or contributions to open source projects
Responsibilities:
- Develop, sustain, and enhance internal tools, processes, and applications to support the application security program - Utilize AI-assisted development techniques to boost productivity and enhance code quality - Operate within a modern IDE setting, adhering to established coding standards and practices - Oversee source code using Git-based version control, including branching, pull requests, and code reviews - Collaborate within Azure DevOps or GitHub Enterprise for tracking work items, managing pipelines, and repository oversight - Create and improve custom AI prompts to optimize the use of AI coding assistants - Participate in code evaluations and aid in documentation efforts - Work closely with the application security team to comprehend security requirements and translate them into effective solutions
