About The Role We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join our team and take ownership of critical production systems that support live hiring events. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and resolving issues that impact our live platforms, ensuring seamless and reliable event execution.
You will monitor production systems, respond swiftly to critical incidents, and support architecture modifications, integrations, and platform upgrades. Additionally, you will be instrumental in maintaining and evolving our event-based system logic, driving best practices in build, deployment, and release processes.
The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to work across multiple systems and teams. Your contributions will directly influence the stability and scalability of our platform, enabling us to deliver exceptional hiring experiences to our clients and candidates worldwide.
Qualifications The successful candidate will possess over 7 years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record of working on complex, scalable systems. Expertise in Java with Spring Boot or Python with Django is essential, along with a strong command of React for frontend development. Experience with Kafka and GraphQL is required to facilitate efficient data streaming and API management. Familiarity with SQL and/or MongoDB will be necessary for managing data storage solutions.
Additional preferred qualifications include experience with data platforms such as Dagster, Data Lakes, or Amazon Athena, which will be advantageous for handling large-scale data processes. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to debug cross-system issues encompassing frontend, backend, APIs, and data layers. A comprehensive understanding of the full software development lifecycle and the capacity to own projects from inception to deployment are critical for success in this role.
Responsibilities Diagnose and troubleshoot production issues that impact live hiring events, ensuring minimal disruption and swift resolution. Continuously monitor production systems to identify potential failures or bottlenecks and respond promptly to critical incidents to maintain platform stability. Support and implement architecture changes, integrations, and platform updates to enhance system performance and scalability.
Maintain and improve event-based system logic, ensuring it adapts to evolving business needs and technical requirements. Drive best practices in build, deployment, and release processes, fostering a culture of quality and efficiency. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including product managers, data engineers, and frontend developers to deliver robust solutions.
Participate in code reviews, technical planning, and documentation to ensure high standards are maintained across all projects.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending innovative solutions that can be integrated into our platform. Contribute to a continuous improvement mindset by identifying areas for process enhancement, automation, and scalability.
