Software Developer - Java & Python - Washington

Requirements

Must have:

- Proven experience in web application development - Bachelors degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience - Over 5 years of relevant experience - Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Power Platform and SharePoint - Strong knowledge of front-end and back-end web development technologies - Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages - Experience with UI/UX design principles and translating design wireframes into functional applications - Strong understanding of software development best practices - Ability to recommend and implement software upgrades - Experience in software maintenance and testing to ensure continued functionality - Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React - Active Top Secret Clearance is required - Must successfully pass a background check, which may include additional checks as required by projects or clients during employment.

Responsibilities:

- Design, test, and develop robust web-based software code that is both testable and efficient - Apply best software development practices to fulfill user requirements - Suggest software upgrades for both current and upcoming systems - Convert User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX) design wireframes into operational web applications - Ensure the software remains functional through regular maintenance and testing - Document all elements of the application, service, or environment for future reference and maintenance - Team up with cross-functional groups to specify and implement new features - Write clean, well-documented, and scalable code - Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to maintain the performance and security of web applications - Keep informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to keep the application competitive and up-to-date.
