Head-Hunting is searching for his client – a global independent software vendor that provides third generation configuration solutions to companies with product configuration needs – Software developer / senior software developer (C#/ JavaScript), to join their team in Warwick, England.

The Warwick services team develops customer solutions. The web-based product modelling and configuration tool supports the global clients within the automotive & industrial plant machinery sectors. At the heart of our software are some unique components including our configuration engine and version-controlled database (based on SQL Server).

How you’ll be doing it

We are predominantly .NET focused and 70% of the software you will be working on will be written in C#.. Company Ace consists of a .NET API and an AngularJS front end with some React.

We have a mature development and continuous integration infrastructure, including git, GitHub,TeamCity, Jira and our own NuGet server. We have continuous branch building and our release creation process is a one click process.

Our development approach

We are an Agile organisation and our development teams usually use Scrum, but we are not dogmatic in our choice of methodology or approach.

Knowledge gathering and sharing is an important part of our company. We have regular tech sessions to demonstrate new technologies and talk about best practices, as well as ad-hoc get togethers to talk code and solve problems together.

What Are We Looking For

We have a number of software development positions available ranging from mid-level to senior due to significant growth. On the backend we use C#, ASP.NET MVC, NHibernate and Ninject.

We have a number of other components using WPF, WCF and Windows services. When it comes to testing, we practice TDD and BDD as appropriate, using NUnit, NSubstitute, Jasmine and Karma.

Essential experience includes:

– considerable C# experience and some experience in SQL

– an interest in working with clients to provide business solutions

Desirable knowledge and experience includes:

– proven experience with C# .NET framework version 4 (or later)

– some experience of working with complex algorithms

– proven experience with JavaScript

– some experience with MVC & jQuery, SignalR, T SQL, HTML, CSS, AngularJS & React. It is envisaged that we will migrate to Angular2 and TypeScript as early as possible.

– knowledge of git, GitHub, TeamCity, Jira &/or NuGet systems

– up to date knowledge in the software development profession

– client facing experience (for example, providing gap analysis)
