Join Leidos and revolutionize air traffic control for the UK NATS organization As a Software Engineer, you'll leverage your expertise in Object-Oriented Programming and C++ to develop cutting-edge flight data processing capabilities in a dynamic, hybrid work environment.
The Role
- Spearhead software development, writing and maintaining source code for critical projects.
- Actively contribute to Agile ceremonies including daily stand-ups and Release Planning.
- Analyze complex system requirements and apply sound engineering principles to create modifiable, efficient, and reliable code.
- Drive process management and control throughout the coding lifecycle, promoting code reuse and cross-program collaboration.
- Engineer, tune, and document automation scripts for development, test, and production environments.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Object Oriented Programming, C, C++, and real-time programming on high availability systems.
- Experience with multi-threaded programming and low-level OS customization (RedHat), hypervisors, and VMs.
- Familiarity with CAS/Hardware integration and low-level communication software (TCP-IP, UDP, SCTP).
- Strong understanding of software source control, configuration management tools, and sound software development principles.
