Preferred qualifications:

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
Experience in Android platform or mobile application development.
Experience in translating high-fidelity design mockups and prototypes into functional user interfaces using front-end web technologies.

As a UI Specialist, you'll join a dynamic, passionate, and collaborative group of engineers who care deeply about craft and user experience. You'll help define how Android feels. This front-end-focused role offers exceptional opportunities for ownership, creativity, and visibility across Android. You'll work with bleeding-edge visual patterns, experiment with animations and shaders, and help shape the next chapter of Android's interface evolution.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Compensation:

US: $147,000 - $210,000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities

Build beautiful, performant, and accessible UIs using Java and Kotlin, including crafting custom views, animations, and visual effects.
Collaborate with UX to prototype, iterate, and refine interaction designs.
Own and drive independent projects from initial concept through to production.
Implement new framework-level APIs and maintain code quality through testing, documentation, and refactoring.
