  • *About The Role**

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and enhancement of our enterprise Appian platform supporting multiple business initiatives. This role involves providing strategic technical guidance and hands-on engineering expertise to ensure the delivery of complex, high-impact solutions within a regulated healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will serve as a technical authority, standardizing engineering quality, platform governance, and best practices across the organization. You will be responsible for developing scalable, reliable, and secure enterprise software solutions utilizing Appian’s low-code capabilities, including process models, interfaces, record types, and integrations. Your expertise will influence enterprise-wide platforms, optimize performance, and support continuous platform upgrades to meet evolving business needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on healthcare technology, leveraging your deep knowledge of Appian and enterprise application development to improve operational efficiencies and patient outcomes.
  • *Qualifications
  • 10+ years of active experience with Appian, demonstrating deep expertise in enterprise-wide enablement
  • Hands-on development experience with Appian platform and tools
  • Proficiency with Autoscale techniques and designing high throughput/volume applications
  • Experience developing workflow-driven and case-based applications in large-scale environments
  • Strong understanding of platform security, data access patterns, and API development
  • Experience with Appian AI capabilities and effective AI modeling
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and experience working in regulated healthcare environments
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to guide cross-functional teams
  • *Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and enhance enterprise software solutions using Appian low-code capabilities, including process models, interfaces, record types, and reusable components
  • Provide strategic technical guidance on Appian best practices, platform configuration, security models, and performance optimization
  • Develop and support Appian integrations utilizing RESTful services, APIs, and enterprise data sources
  • Contribute hands-on to workflow and case management solutions supporting multiple concurrent initiatives
  • Evaluate and implement platform features, upgrades, and scalability improvements to enhance system reliability and developer efficiency
  • Standardize engineering quality and platform governance across the organization
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with enterprise standards and regulatory requirements
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
  • Participate in troubleshooting, performance tuning, and resolution of complex technical issues
