Your Role
We are seeking a mid-level engineer dedicated to creating robust and efficient Public Cloud (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and On-premise Platform Infrastructure to handle demanding Teradata analytics and AI workloads. This pivotal role ensures our customers receive highly available and performant Teradata Cloud and on-premise Platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure Teradata systems across AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud.
- Tune and optimize system performance across CPU, storage, I/O, and network layers.
- Stress-test and validate infrastructure to ensure reliability under analytic and AI workloads.
- Develop automation tools to analyze and monitor infrastructure behavior.
- Collaborate with cloud providers and internal teams to resolve issues effectively.
- Assist customer-facing teams with inquiries about platform performance, configuration, and availability.
You will work closely with a high-performance engineering team, collaborating with:
- Advanced Development, Architects, and Product Management to evaluate system requirements and test new infrastructure capabilities.
- Cloud infrastructure providers to influence roadmaps and resolve performance issues.
- Customer Support and Operations to address customer field issues.
- Experience with Public Cloud (AWS/Azure/GC) Computing Infrastructure.
- Familiarity with Linux OS and command line operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience.
- PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
Successful candidates will have
- Scripting skills for creating and customizing test cases to configure workloads.
- Experience with Teradata Vantage Cloud or On-Prem solutions like IntelliFlex, Vantage on VMware, or Teradata AI Factory.
- Knowledge in public cloud environments - AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Expertise in system deployment and configuration.
- Ability to analyze and optimize resource utilization (CPU/Storage/IO/Network).
- Experience in stress testing infrastructure to ensure robust performance under high workloads.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with a passion for technology.
- Creativity and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and knowledge-sharing abilities.

Pay Rate: 111800.0000 - 139800.0000 - 167700.0000 Annually The starting pay for successful applicants will depend on various factors, including geographic location and candidate experience.
