Requirements
Must have:
- Bachelors degree in an engineering-related discipline, paired with software engineering experience across the development lifecycle - Proficiency in one or more of the following: SQL, Oracle databases, or Python - Experience using GitLab or comparable CI/CD tooling - Hands-on experience with Windows and Linux operating systems - Experience preparing software Basis of Estimates (BOEs) to support engineering proposals - Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible to obtain a government security clearance - Desired: Ability to learn and adopt new tools and programming languages quickly - Desired: Experience introducing newer tools and technologies into established programs to improve software process efficiency - Desired: Experience with live, virtual, or constructive simulation
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a Software Engineer within our Enterprise Sustainment Solutions business area - Help create design solutions for complex engineering challenges throughout the software development lifecycle - Improve product design by adding or updating functionality based on operational scenarios and customer needs - Plan, coordinate, and carry out software development activities - Design, build, document, test, and troubleshoot software that addresses business and mission needs using logical and mathematical methods - Apply established standards, processes, procedures, and tools across the full development lifecycle - Convert high-level requirements into detailed software specifications and design documentation - Work independently while collaborating with peers to develop effective solutions - Support one or more programs and contribute across design, coding, and testing phases
