Software Engineer - Java and Python

Requirements

Must have:

- Associates Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience - Minimum of 2 years of experience in application development - Strong verbal and written communication abilities - Proficiency in various programming languages - Knowledge of REST/SOAP APIs and integration frameworks - Familiarity with single sign-on technologies - Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and CI/CD practices, including automated testing and Test Driven Development

Responsibilities:

- Engage in the design, development, implementation, evaluation, and support of numerous HR-owned environments, applications, and platforms - Monitor the health, performance, and availability of these environments, addressing system and user experience issues as they arise - Participate in mentorship and training opportunities provided by senior engineers - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to comprehend business needs and convert them into technical solutions - Create custom reports, dashboards, and calculated fields to aid business processes - Propose ongoing improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce costs - Stay informed on HR application updates, new features, and best practices, offering recommendations for integration - Adhere to recommended information security standards during development and validation - Evaluate the technical feasibility of new products and technologies - Contribute to technical documentation, specifications, and project artifacts for developed solutions - Identify potential standards and best practices - Create and enhance architecture diagrams for each capability, detailing server names and integration points, including connection types
