Requirements
Must have:
- We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related STEM discipline - We expect basic familiarity with Linux command-line operations - We look for foundational experience in software design and testing - We need clear written and verbal communication skills - We require the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment - We require U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD SECRET-level security clearance - We require eligibility for a government security clearance and access to a restricted facility - We value additional exposure to Agile development and tools such as Atlassian or similar platforms - We value basic programming knowledge in C++, Python, and/or Java - We value experience with debugging, software life-cycle development, configuration management tools such as Git, and object-oriented design principles
Responsibilities:
- We design, develop, integrate, and test new capabilities for Department of Defense products and technologies - We contribute to modeling and simulation for real-world weapons, radar, and command-and-control systems - We independently diagnose and resolve software and system defects - We apply disciplined systems and software engineering practices to break down complex problems and build workable solutions - We create, adjust, and integrate software for target modeling and simulation systems using Agile methods - We review code, improve algorithm performance, and run experiments to validate product functionality and performance against requirements
