Requirements

Must have:

- Active DoD TS/SCI clearance - Experience with RHEL 8.x environments running Oracle 19c databases in both physical and virtual setups - Proficient in installing, configuring, and maintaining Oracle 19c CDB/PDB architectures - Extensive administration experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and Exadata environments in multi-node, high-availability deployments - Skilled in configuring and managing Data Guard (Physical, Logical, Snapshot Standby) utilizing Data Guard Broker / DGMGRL - Ability to execute RAC and Data Guard switchover and failover procedures with minimal downtime - Expertise in configuring and managing ASM storage for RAC and Exadata setups - Proficient in using RMAN for backup, restoration, and recovery across primary and standby databases; able to validate recovery processes - Experience in monitoring and enhancing database performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) and native tools - Knowledgeable in Oracle 19c and RHEL patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management - Proficient in troubleshooting performance, replication, storage, and interconnect issues in RAC, Data Guard, and Exadata environments - Ability to implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies for clustered database deployments - Collaborate effectively with network and storage teams to meet RAC, Exadata, and Data Guard infrastructure needs - Apply security measures and remediate vulnerabilities according to STIG guidance and scanning results - Provide on-demand support for database-related issues, working with Oracle support as necessary - Collaborate directly with government, contractor, and subcontractor teams as primary database support - Capable of installing and maintaining server hardware, including firmware updates (Dell EMC, HPE), and assist with racking and cabling as needed - Familiarity with networking fundamentals (routing, switching, firewall rules, TCP/IP protocols) in database contexts - Experience in creating and managing SSL certificates for servers, appliances, and networking equipment - Strong knowledge of Oracle RDBMS, ASM, Grid Infrastructure, partitioning, SQL/PLSQL, and scripting for automation

Responsibilities:

- Independently manage and resolve various issues within medium-to-large-scale Oracle databases - Communicate daily with customers and internal management, providing detailed activity summaries - Prepare comprehensive trip reports when necessary - Offer on-the-spot support for database-related problems - Address bugs or issues in products operating at customer sites, collaborating with Oracle support for unresolved cases - Coordinate with onsite teams including government, contractors, and subcontractors as the first point of contact for database support - Install and update server hardware and assist with physical setup as required - Engage in configuring and managing database environments and related networking fundamentals - Monitor database performance and implement necessary optimizations - Execute patching, upgrades, and routine maintenance for Oracle 19c and RHEL - Ensure high availability and disaster recovery plans are effectively implemented across database deployments - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet infrastructure requirements for various database environments - Apply security protocols to mitigate vulnerabilities in our systems
