About the Role
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers to join SeatGeek's Research & Development team. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining and advancing our modern, containerized, service-oriented architecture. Your contributions will directly impact how millions of fans access and enjoy live events. You will be responsible for shipping high-quality code multiple times daily, solving complex performance and integration challenges, and building scalable solutions that support our rapidly growing business. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with innovative technologies, including AI tools, to bring ideas to life faster while upholding our high standards for product quality and user experience. Collaboration across teams and disciplines is essential to develop industry-leading products that delight users and enhance our brand reputation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience developing business-critical software in a fast-paced environment
- Proven ability to solve complex technical challenges, including real-time data integrations, inventory management, and event matching
- Strong passion for software craftsmanship, with high standards for code quality and design
- Product-minded with a focus on user experience, business impact, and overall product excellence
- Excellent collaboration skills and a commitment to working effectively with diverse teams
- Experience with programming languages such as Python (FastAPI), Go, C# (.NET Core), React+TypeScript, Swift, or Kotlin is a plus (not mandatory)
- Familiarity with infrastructure tools like AWS, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Datadog, and Gitlab is advantageous
- Knowledge of data stores such as Aurora (Postgres), ElastiCache, OpenSearch, and DynamoDB is beneficial
- Understanding of streaming and workflow tools like Kafka, Flink, Airflow, and Temporal is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop, deploy, and maintain scalable, containerized service-oriented architectures using industry best practices
- Continuously ship high-quality code to production multiple times a day, ensuring stability and performance
- Design and implement complex integrations between various systems to enhance user experiences and internal workflows
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks to ensure a seamless experience for users
- Evaluate emerging technologies and incorporate improvements into our software stack to maintain technological leadership
- Leverage AI tools to accelerate product development while adhering to SeatGeek’s technical standards
- Collaborate across teams and disciplines to develop innovative solutions that drive business growth
- Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and improvement
