  • *About The Role**
Hex is seeking an experienced full-stack Software Engineer to join our Growth & Monetization team. This pivotal role involves working across multiple work streams including product-led growth, user activation, pricing and billing, and new product initiatives. The successful candidate will play a key role in solving complex challenges that help thousands of users optimize their use of Hex. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong product sense who thinks like a business owner, focusing not just on coding but on driving tangible business outcomes. You will collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data, and Marketing teams to develop features that enhance user engagement, improve conversion rates, and generate revenue. Your work will directly influence how Hex attracts, retains, and expands its user base, contributing to the company's growth in a highly competitive market.
  • *Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience as a full-stack software engineer
  • Proficiency in frontend technologies such as React and TypeScript
  • Strong backend development skills, including experience with Python or similar languages
  • Experience building user-facing features, onboarding flows, and billing experiences
  • Ability to design, run, and analyze A/B tests and experiments
  • Data-driven mindset with good intuition for analytics and tracking
  • Familiarity with B2B SaaS products, experimentation frameworks, and growth strategies
  • Excellent collaboration skills across cross-functional teams
  • Pragmatic approach to decision-making with a focus on delivering value
  • Experience with growth loops, funnel optimization, or activation frameworks (preferred)
  • Background in analytics, data tools, or developer-focused products (a plus)
  • Experience at a product-led growth company or early-stage startup is advantageous
  • *Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement growth-focused product features, including onboarding flows, activation nudges, and billing experiences that are both delightful and effective
  • Design, execute, and iterate on A/B tests to optimize user engagement and conversion across the funnel
  • Take ownership of key business metrics such as trial-to-paid conversion, user activation, and expansion revenue
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Design, Data, and Marketing teams to identify opportunities and align on growth priorities
  • Build and maintain robust tracking systems, define success metrics, and leverage data to inform product decisions
  • Participate in strategic discussions to influence product direction and growth strategies
  • Ship fast, learn quickly, and continuously iterate based on data insights and customer feedback
  • Contribute to the development of analytics and experimentation infrastructure to support data-driven growth initiatives
