Requirements
Must have:
- We require a bachelors degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- We require the ability to obtain U.S. Secret clearance, including interim pre-start and final post-start approval, as well as special program access.
- We require 4+ years of hands-on software programming experience with C, C++, C#, or .NET, including debugging and development.
- We require 4+ years of experience working within the software or systems development lifecycle (SDLC).
- We prefer a Bachelor of Science in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science with extensive related experience.
- We prefer experience using Python for software development.
- We prefer experience using Rust for software development.
- We prefer an active security clearance.
- We prefer experience with embedded software and hardware interface integration.
- We prefer experience working across software, firmware, and hardware boundaries, including coordination with interfacing teams.
- We prefer experience managing multiple projects at the same time.
- We prefer strong decision-making skills and the ability to progress work with limited requirements detail.
- We prefer experience developing in Visual Studio.
- We prefer familiarity with avionics and Ethernet communication protocols.
- We prefer experience working in Agile environments.
- We prefer experience with Git, continuous integration, and cloud computing tools.
- We require U.S. citizenship or U.S. Person status for export control compliance.
- We require the ability to complete a technical assessment as part of our selection process.
Responsibilities:
- We design, architect, and develop simulation models, visualizations, virtual environments, platforms, and supporting frameworks.
- We partner with stakeholders to review simulation needs and define system dynamics for modeled environments.
- We perform modeling, simulation, testing, analysis, and performance optimization across the full product lifecycle.
- We collect and process data for use in simulation activities.
- We validate, verify, and refine simulation code, models, test procedures, and environments using real-world data, benchmarks, and test results.
- We document and maintain technical code, algorithms, specifications, and model descriptions.
- We work with cross-functional engineering teams to integrate simulation software with hardware devices and systems.
- We apply current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and development methods in our simulation engineering environment.
- We modernize, migrate, sustain, and update simulation software so legacy systems can run on newer operating systems.
- We carry out simulation software project management tasks.
- We collaborate in small development teams and occasionally work independently.
- We participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, standups, retrospectives, and demonstrations.
- We support multiple programs while focusing on customer satisfaction and process improvement.
- We solve complex problems using creativity, adaptability, and technical innovation.
- We learn new technologies and adapt to new development environments as needed.
