Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of the architecture and quality of simulation software used throughout SpaceX. - Design and enhance next-generation software that blends CFD tools, meshing applications, and CAD platforms for multiphysics simulations; assist in migrating results viewing to web-based 3D platforms. - Create sophisticated interfaces for visualizing and interpreting simulation outcomes. - Identify and resolve issues related to software integration, meshing quality, and the accuracy of simulations. - Utilize machine learning and AI solutions—such as surrogate modeling and physics-informed neural networks—to speed up simulations, improve efficiency, foster innovative enhancements, boost part yield, minimize inspection efforts, and refine components. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to introduce new features and automate workflows. - Perform testing and validation of simulation outcomes using industry-standard benchmarks.
