Senior Software Engineer drives technical excellence by designing high-quality architectures and delivering complex systems end-to-end, ensuring that all software is secure, scalable, and reliable while elevating the engineering culture through rigorous standards and mentorship.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Design & System Development
- Design and develop high-quality software architecture that supports long-term scalability and functionality.
- Lead technical design discussions and reviews to ensure architectural consistency across the team.
- Own and deliver complex systems from initial design through to end-to-end implementation.
- Offer critical product and engineering trade-offs early in the development lifecycle to optimize outcomes.
- Apply expertise in performance, security, and scalability to solve the organization's most challenging technical problems.
Engineering Quality & Code Excellence
- Ensure all features are developed in a secure, testable, and highly scalable manner.
- Conduct comprehensive code reviews to enforce engineering standards and maintain high code quality.
- Continuously improve existing system performance, reliability, and overall functionality.
- Mentor and coach other engineers on secure coding practices and advanced technical principles.
- Contribute to the definition and continuous improvement of company-wide engineering processes.
Observability & Reliable Deployment
- Deploy software safely and reliably using modern observability tools, including logs, metrics, and alerts.
- Implement observability practices such as metrics, tracing, and alerting to monitor system health in real-time.
- Ensure that deployments meet the high reliability and security standards required for fintech operations.
- Actively participate in the maintenance and optimization of distributed systems and microservices.
Collaboration & Business Alignment
- Ensure technical solutions are strictly aligned with product requirements and overarching business goals.
- Collaborate closely with frontend and cross-functional teams to deliver integrated and seamless user experiences.
- Act as a technical leader within the team, modeling wamo's values and engineering culture.
- Build deep domain expertise in fintech to provide context-aware technical recommendations.
