Software Engineering - Algorithm Developer IV

Position Details:

Title: Algorithm Developer IV (72859-1)

Duration: 12+ months (possible extension)

Location: Hybrid, 3 days office, Redmond, WA

Pay Rate: Max $90/Hr. on w2.

Hours: M-F, 8-5 hours

Summary: The main function of an algorithm developer is to design and implement algorithms for machine learning. The typical developer will be able to test the effectiveness of routines against requirements. In addition, embedded firmware efforts are needed to deploy the developed algorithms to hardware.

Job Responsibilities:

Training and Optimizing ML/hybrid pipelines for hardware deployment

• Develop and apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques of algorithms related to Deep Learning
• Designs, implements and tests algorithms for a variety of machine learning (deep learning) tasks
• Design statistical models and algorithms for analysing workload performance
• Synthesize algorithm needs and designs for customer requirements.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues found with software
• Deploy algorithms to hardware.

Improve software performance

Skills:

• Experience with algorithm development (PyTorch, Tensorflow)
• Experience with object-oriented programming in C++ or other languages
• Experience with embedded systems (e.g.

  Raspberry

  Pi, NVidia Jetson, FPGA) and deploy algorithms to hardware

• Experience with machine learning toolkits and platforms
• Ability to deploy algorithms to hardware by porting them to firmware
• Ability to manage projects autonomously.

Education: (Minimum) Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, or related field preferred, Masters preferred

Key Projects/Day-to-Day Responsibilities: Training and Optimizing ML/hybrid pipelines for hardware deployment

Purpose/Size of this team & where does this position fit within the team?: Sensors and systems team. Use sensors to collect data and run ML algorithms and use that to build prototypes. Wire bulids and robotics
