Your role and responsibilities
As an Application Developer specializing in Mainframe Modernization, you will utilize your expertise in fundamental concepts and technologies related to both mainframe systems and modernization to drive business success. You will leverage your skills in developing codes for in-place mainframe modernization and migration of mainframe applications to cloud platforms.- Develop Modernization Strategies: Design and implement modernization plans for mainframe applications, including migration to cloud platforms such as z‑cloud, and provide support for mainframe migration to other cloud environments.
- Code Development: Develop high-quality code for mainframe modernization projects using various technologies, including COBOL systems, Java, JSON, API, Microservices, and SaaS.
- Ensure Network Security: Implement and maintain network security measures to protect mainframe applications and data during modernization and migration processes.
- Collaborate on DevOps: Work with cross‑functional teams to implement DevOps practices and tools, such as Kubernetes, to ensure smooth deployment and operation of modernized applications.
