Staff Java Developer

Requirements

Must have:

- We need strong experience with Java and Spring Boot 3, using Gradle for builds.

• We expect hands-on expertise in Elasticsearch, including query design, aggregations, index operations, and performance tuning.
• We require experience developing REST APIs with caching strategies and fail-open resilience patterns.
• We look for knowledge of resilience engineering, including bulkheads and circuit breakers.
• We need experience writing unit and integration tests with JUnit.
• We value a background in performance optimization.
• We require experience with Google Cloud Platform technologies such as GKE, Pub/Sub, Terraform, and Kubernetes, including CDK8s.
• We look for familiarity with Cloud Foundry deployment.
• We expect experience with GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
• We value experience using JFrog Artifactory.
• We require experience with observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Micrometer metrics instrumentation.
• We expect knowledge of structured logging and alerting.
• We prefer candidates who can work across both backend and frontend codebases, including React and Node.js.
• A strong ability to quickly ramp up on active codebases with established patterns is important.

Responsibilities:

- We will have you support a phased migration of task types across our mobile and backend systems.

• You will contribute to other mobile applications as sprint priorities evolve.
• We will count on you to build configuration management endpoints and caching layers that support the migration between mobile and web platforms.
• You will implement context query filtering and optimization for Elasticsearch.
• You will contribute to our Google Cloud Platform migration, including Terraform, Kubernetes manifests, and multi-region validation.
• You will add resilience patterns such as bulkheads and circuit breakers to strengthen backend infrastructure.
• You will support React and Node.js feature development.
• You will help improve web performance.
