Job description
Requirements
Must have:
- We are looking for strong experience building and operating scalable distributed systems and APIs.
We value prior experience building, scaling, or supporting a marketplace platform such as a B2B SaaS, developer marketplace, app marketplace, integration marketplace, or partner ecosystem, with ownership of partner onboarding, integration delivery, and ecosystem growth.
We seek experience or exposure to AI/ML technologies, including LLMs, embeddings, and automation workflows.
We need the ability to ramp up quickly on new technologies and domains, especially within AI and partner ecosystems.
We look for proven success leading work in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
We expect excellent collaboration, communication, and cross-team influence.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.; we are unable to sponsor or take over employment visa sponsorship at this time.
This is a US-remote role, and if you are not located in Minnesota, occasional travel will be required.
Responsibilities:
- We lead technical decision-making that brings AI-enabled capabilities into core platform services and partner integrations.
We partner with Product and leadership to shape flexible roadmaps that align with our strategy while adapting to rapidly changing AI and partner opportunities.
We drive architectural improvements that scale AI workloads, reduce operational overhead, and strengthen reliability across APIs and platform services.
We keep technical plans adaptable so we can iterate quickly in uncertain, high-velocity environments.
We identify and deliver cross-platform improvements across the Dev Portal, Marketplace, MCP, API standards, and related developer and partner experiences.
We evolve our Marketplace ecosystem through partner onboarding, discovery experiences, integration standards, and developer enablement.
We collaborate across Engineering, Product, and partner teams to deliver AI-first, integration-ready solutions.
We communicate complex ideas clearly and translate AI and platform trade-offs for a wide range of stakeholders.
We provide technical guidance that promotes alignment, simplicity, and consistency across teams and integrations.
We evaluate trade-offs between speed, cost, accuracy, and scalability, especially in AI-enabled and partner-driven solutions.
We simplify systems, reduce technical debt, and still support rapid experimentation and delivery.
We take ownership of ambiguous challenges, especially new partnership integrations and emerging AI use cases, and drive them to resolution.
We apply strong diagnostic skills to find root causes and deliver resilient, maintainable solutions.
We mentor engineers through coaching and feedback, including adoption of modern and AI-assisted development practices.
We support team growth by encouraging continuous learning, experimentation, and adaptability.
We foster psychological safety, collaboration, and shared ownership.
We help raise the bar in hiring to ensure alignment with our technical and cultural expectations.
We own end-to-end design and delivery of platform services, APIs, and AI-enabled capabilities, including partner integrations.
We build systems with strong observability, resilience, and performance, especially under variable AI workloads.
We track progress, manage risk, and adjust plans while maintaining a bias for action and high-quality execution.
We ensure new partnerships are delivered with care, reliability, and creativity, balancing speed with long-term sustainability.
